Architectural Plaster Surfaces
Developed through material research,
applied as continuous environments Below is a curation of our most requested plaster finishes.
(although we can create virtually any finish)
Every project includes custom samples developed specifically for the space to ensure design clarity - precisely honing color, texture, and finish. And yes, we absolutely offer color matching.
We specialize in a wide range of technical plaster systems that offer durability in wet areas, high heat environments, and exterior conditions.
Our studio specializes in Venetian plaster, lime plaster, tadelakt, microcement, Roman clay, and other mineral finishes used across walls, fireplaces, kitchens, range hoods, bathrooms, showers, saunas, and architectural surfaces.

Questions about our plaster surfaces?
To activate a space is to consider its tactile and atmospheric potential. Our practice is rooted in the exploration of plaster as both a structural medium and a sensory experience.
Whether we are collaborating on a site-specific installation or a seamless residential interior, our goal is to expand what is possible through material innovation.
We’ve curated the below insights to help architects, designers, and private clients navigate the technicalities of our artisanal finishes and their enduring benefits within the built environment.

Yes. We formulate custom, integral pigments to achieve an exact tonal match or complement your design scheme.
Because our artisanal finishes rely on natural minerals, the colors carry a depth, subtlety, and luminous quality to the space where they are applied.

Mineral and lime-based plasters are incredibly resilient. Many of these centuries-old materials cure and harden over time, returning to a stone-like state and fusing to the architectural surface with which they are applied.
Once sealed, they are highly durable and easy to maintain.
We provide straightforward care guidelines for all our custom surface designs to ensure they remain beautiful for decades.
-
Our materials are versatile and can be applied over a variety of standard substrates, including drywall, masonry, and even complex curves or architectural millwork.
During the initial consultation, we review the site conditions and advise on any necessary surface preparation to ensure a flawless, enduring finish.
-
Quite frequently.
While our studio is based out of Chagrin Falls, Ohio - we frequently collaborate worldwide with private clients and design firms.
Whether it is a large-scale commercial hospitality finish or a site-specific collectible art piece, we are equipped to travel and execute our advanced craftsmanship globally.
-
A core tenet of our studio’s practice is a commitment to natural, eco-friendly interior plasters. The vast majority of our bespoke architectural finishes are composed of natural lime, crushed marble, and earth pigments, making them entirely VOC-free and non-toxic.
-
Beyond their aesthetic depth, our lime-based finishes are inherently functional. Through the natural process of carbonation, these materials absorb CO2 from the air as they cure, essentially returning to a stone-like state on your walls. Because our finishes are high-pH and vapor-permeable, they are naturally antimicrobial and mold-resistant, helping to regulate humidity without the use of harsh chemicals or synthetic VOCs. This results in a "breathable" wall system that supports a cleaner, more organic indoor air quality—ideal for wellness-focused residential and hospitality design.
